‘Love Island USA’ star Olandria makes return to HBCU alma mater

Love Island USA star Olandria Carthen made a meaningful return to her HBCU alma mater, Tuskegee University, where she served as a special guest for the school’s Back 2 School Kickoff event hosted by the Student Activities Board and Career Education Leadership Development Center at Chappie James Arena, celebrating her journey from first‑generation college student and proud Tuskegee graduate to fan‑favorite reality TV personality and inspiring figure for current students; during the visit she spoke about why she chose an HBCU and reflected on the sense of community and belonging it gave her as a young Black woman.
